BS/BA; preferably in business, with 4+ years work experience in a supply chain role; preferably with focus on electronic manufacturing environment
2-year associates degree with CPIM, CIRM, or CSCP Certification AND 7+ years experience in a supply chain role or a similar role.

Skills Required:
Will be proficient in word processing and spreadsheets, preferably Microsoft Excel and Word, Access knowledge, or equivalent tools.
Will gain advanced automated computer system knowledge, as well as a working knowledge of supplier contract maintenance and sourcing techniques.
APICS/ISM certification preferred (CPIM or CPSM)
Will demonstrate understanding of the extended process of material procurement, capacity planning, inventory analysis, and advanced planning techniques (demand flow scheduling, vendor managed inventory, etc).
Will demonstrate superior understanding of automated computer systems.
The applicant must be a US Citizen for he/she will be working on ITAR restricted U.S. Military products.
Duties: Summary:
Acts as lead supply chain analyst for all supply chain activity on the customer team, ensuring effective planning and procurement processes are in place to support department, business unit, and divisional goals, as well as ensuring customer needs are met. In addition, mentors other supply chain analysts in best practices of supply chain management and strategy.
Position Responsibilities:
Acts as the key contact for analysis of new orders, change orders, and net change analysis from customers.
Performs material and capacity analysis, works with Scheduler to establish a production schedule for each order, and communicates/resolves issues related to discrepancies between the requested and promised due date.
Monitors inventory levels and planned order quantities at both the component and assembly level and generates action plans to ensure that inventory levels are optimized, and dispositions excess inventory to support business objectives.
Interfaces with customers, suppliers, and internal resources for management of AVL choices and alternates in order to monitor or reduce product cost or inventory levels, manage EOL and other assurance of supply issues, and support Engineering changes and New Product Introduction.
Participates on the Customer Team for large, complex accounts as the Supply Chain Department representative & supports development of planning processes to support department, business unit, and divisional goals.
Assists the Supply Chain Supervisor as needed regarding development of advanced Planning processes.
Develop decision support tools and financial models to analyze the cost/benefit tradeoffs of inventory changes.
Conduct day-to-day business analysis supporting supply chain management.
Train and educate supply chain analysts on supply chain strategies, inventory management strategies, analysis techniques and tool development.
Assists the Account Managers in developing monthly sales forecasts and updates the forecast based on the planning process.
Develops, documents, and manages customer specific planning systems such as kanban, safety stock, knowledge based configuration systems, vendor managed inventory, or other unique systems.
Works directly with customers to gain an understanding of a customers planning system and how Benchmark and the customers processes interact.
Recommends improvements and implements recommendations for improvements to the extended planning process in order to gain efficiencies in both Benchmarks processes and the customers processes.
Assists other team members as needed to ensure customer needs are met.
Handles all tactical responsibilities associated with purchase orders and performs buying activity for local, regional and global purchasing initiatives.
Acts as lead buyer on initiatives as assigned by commodity management.
Drives initiatives, analyzes critical items, and develops and implements complex solutions to supply chain issues.
Evaluates competitive offerings from suppliers to determine the overall best offer, technical analysis, operational analysis, cost/price analysis, and make/buy analysis.
Participates on commodity team(s) responsible for supplier management and develops effective plans for supplier improvement.
Works with internal and external customers and or other supply chain personnel to analyze and determine best supplier or service provider for the defined scope of work.
Reviews data for accuracy and analyzes the information in support of agreements.
Contributes to cost reduction program by making viable business recommendations and process improvement ideas.
Manages components throughout product life cycle (PLC).
Complies with commodity strategies as directed by commodity management.
Participates and provides input to supplier score card reviews.
Works with Supplier Development Engineering in the qualification of components as required.
Works with commodity management for component sourcing activities.
Executes the tactical portion of component Stop Ship/Purge efforts.
Other duties as assigned.
