Professional or managerial experience acquired through relevant Bachelors
degree and 10 years of relevant experience
Experience in manufacturing, ISO, GMP environments; Project Management (PMO)
experience preferred. Molecular Diagnostics experience a plus
Leadership and management experience in developing high performance teams
across multi-departmental organizations
Demonstrated ability to successfully initiate and implement multiple projects
at the same time
Team player with strong customer orientation
Excellent analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

Duties: The candidate will provide overall Project Management leadership for the Chaska
SCM Molecular Diagnostics (MDx) Operations.

The Group Manufacturing Project Manager directs and controls the development
and/or maintenance of one or more company products from the initial assessment
to obsolescence by indentifying and managing the technical expertise of all
required disciplines. The incumbent develops a project plan, schedule and budget
to develop and/or enhance a product; negotiates with functional managers to
obtain appropriate resources and builds a team dedicated to the successful
completion of the project; establishes work priorities, ensuring the project
remains on schedule; and oversees and/or makes technical decisions.

Responsibilities:
Establishes operational objectives and assignments, delegating assignments to
staff
Forecasts staffing requirements across multiple groups
Develops resourcing strategies, allocates budgets, staff, tools, and
specialized support necessary for driving cost-effective operations
Responsible for hiring/firing/disciplinary decisions affecting employees
Recommends or terminates external resources (contractors)
Communicates system implementation project status to high level business
management
Develops and monitors operating budget
Participates in departmental, division, corporate strategic and tactical
planning processes
Communicates Group Manufacturing Project status, issues to high level
management, users and staff
Establishes Group Manufacturing Project Management standards, procedures,
performance levels and documentation requirements
Adheres to policies and procedures
